Free Alternative Introduced to Stop NHS Staff Using WhatsApp

NHS staff are being told to stop using WhatsApp messenger in hospitals to share sensitive patient and clinical information, with UK healthcare authorities approving a new free messaging app for clinicians.

Hospify App

The new messaging app, named Hospify, is the first general-purpose messaging app to be given the stamp of approval by the organisations overseeing the NHS Apps Library. These include NHS Digital, NHS England, the Department for Health and Social Care, General Practitioners, Public Health England, NICE, MHRA and the CQC.
