Professor Gillian Leng Appointed as New Chief Executive of NICE

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has appointed a new Chief Executive. Professor Gillian Leng CBE, who is the organisation’s current Deputy Chief Executive, has been promoted.

New Chief Executive

Professor Leng has held her current position as Deputy Chief Executive since 2007, and also serves as NICE’s Director of Health and Social Care. Professor Leng is set to take up her new role from 1 April 2020, when current Chief Executive Sir Andrew Dillon, who has led the organisation since it was established in 1999, steps down.
